Sometimes you just need more space…

Sometimes you just need more space… I know what you are thinking- “Heather, don’t you have a podcast?” I do, but I also know that not everyone listens to podcasts. Also, sometimes what I want to write about doesn’t have to do with product management, but more with the business side of PDRM Consulting. I know it’s my own podcast, so I can do whatever I want. But this has been on my heart for about 6 months. When something has been on your heart that long, you listen. So in 2026, you get blog posts for me.

For those that are new and finding us for the first time… Welcome! My name is Heather, and I am the co-founder, CEO, and Product Management Specialist at PDRM Consulting. I also do work as a Fractional CPO. PDRM Consulting was created by my husband, John, and me to help small businesses reduce risk in their world so they can grow on their own terms. We specialize in helping female-owned business owners for the most part. My work focuses on Product Management and helping business owners and leaders to identify which projects need to be worked on now to help achieve their goals. We want to prevent burnout before it begins.

Now, why do we focus on female-owned businesses… Did you know that only 2% of female-owned businesses get funding from VC? But statistics show that female-owned businesses are more likely to succeed and put more money back into our communities. We want to help our community and our fellow humans.

Here’s what I’ve learned after years of wrangling customer chaos, building roadmaps under pressure, and juggling two kids while scaling a business: clarity is the ultimate competitive advantage. Most teams aren’t failing because they lack talent or effort—they’re stuck because no one can cut through the noise and say, “This is what matters, this is the plan, let’s move.” That’s exactly what I do as Co-founder and Fractional CPO at PDRM Consulting. I help businesses stop spinning their wheels and start making real progress—fast. If you’re drowning in conflicting priorities, unclear direction, or a backlog that never seems to shrink, let’s talk. Because the solution isn’t working harder—it’s working clearer. And I can show you how.

I can’t wait to continue showing you how to how to build your business on your own terms.
